Patience Tanjua Marie Scott, a loving and devoted, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 29, 2025. Patience, 52, of Eaton Rapids, was born on June 19, 1973, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Bruce and Kathy (Tule) Hunter. She was a proud graduate of Thornapple Kellogg High School class of 1992. After high school Patience began her working career, first at Peckham Industries, later at different adult foster care homes, childcare facilities, and most recently as a caregiver for her mother. For her entire life she was meant to be a caregiver for others. Her pride and joy was raising her boys, Zac and Zeke. She loved being a mother and watching her boys grow into the men they are today. When Patience wasn't working, she enjoyed crocheting, helping others when in need, and attending church at South Lansing Church.

Patience is survived by her sons, Zac and Zeke Scott; parents, Bruce and Kathy Hunter; siblings, Lelea (Donnie) Boutwell, Victoria (Brent) Christen, Paul Hunter, and Leslie (Greg) Harmon; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends are encouraged to support Patience's family by sharing memories on her Tribute Page at www.prayfuneral.com < http://www.prayfuneral.com >. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the family to assist with cremation expenses. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
