Patricia Lila Accardi's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a passionate spirit that touched the hearts of those around her. She was born on May 1, 1967, in Aurora, Colorado, and it was there that she embraced the world with open arms before she peacefully passed away on February 9, 2024, in her hometown. From an early age, Patricia displayed a deep affection for animals. Her childhood memories are filled with stories of her bringing home every stray animal she encountered. With a nurturing heart, Patricia cared for these beloved companions as if they were family. Her compassion extended beyond her furry friends to include everyone she encountered.  Her education played a significant role in Patricia's life. She attended Denver Public Schools and proudly graduated from Montebello as a Warrior – a testament to her determination and resilience. Armed with knowledge and a thirst for learning, Patricia embarked on a fulfilling career at P.T.A. Painting & Wallpaper Company. Her unwavering work ethic and creativity made her an invaluable asset to the company. In matters of the heart, Patricia's love story was one for the ages. For an incredible 36 years since 1988, she shared her life with her husband Paul Accardi. Their serendipitous meeting at the Village Inn parking lot on Valentine's Day, on a blind date, transformed their lives forever. Bound by love and mutual respect, Patricia and Paul stood side by side through thick and thin, creating memories that will forever be cherished. As a devoted mother and wife, Patricia derived immense joy from raising her two sons, Vincent and Adrian. She took great pride in instilling values of love, kindness, and perseverance in their lives. No effort was spared when it came to supporting their dreams and aspirations. The bond between Patricia and her sons shone brightly through all of life's triumphs and challenges. Beyond her roles as a wife and mother, Patricia had an array of passions that brought her immense happiness. A skilled skier, she reveled in the wonders of the mountains, embracing the thrill of the slopes with infectious enthusiasm. Nature, in all its splendor, was a source of solace and inspiration for her. Patricia's green thumb was evident to all who visited her garden. It was a sanctuary of colors and fragrances where she would spend countless hours tending to her beloved flowers and roses. As she immersed herself in this tranquil space, Patricia found serenity and a true connection with nature. The love that Patricia held for animals extended to her four-legged companions – Chewy, Yoda, Gizmo, and Zoey. These furry family members provided her with unwavering loyalty and affection as they filled her days with joy. Patricia's proudest accomplishments revolved around her role as a mother and wife. Above all else, she treasured her ability to create a warm and nurturing environment for her family. The love that flowed through their home intertwined each member's life together, creating an unbreakable bond. Left to cherish Patricia's memory are her adoring husband Paul Accardi of Kansas; sons Vincent (Brianna) Accardi of Strasburg, CO, and Adrian Accardi of New Ulm, Minnesota. Additionally, she leaves behind her cherished granddaughter Avianna Allen Brunsvold of Strasburg. Patricia is also survived by her loving brother Michael Capps of Aurora, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents Katherine John and William Capps, also a grandmother Lila O’merah. As we gather to celebrate Patricia's remarkable journey on February 23rd at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Fellowship Church in Strasburg, CO, let us remember the radiant light that she shared with us all. This Celebration of Life will be a time to commemorate the legacy of Patricia Lila Accardi and the countless lives she has touched throughout her time with us. May her spirit continue to illuminate our lives and bring solace during these challenging times.  Though we mourn the loss of Patricia, we find comfort in knowing that her gentle spirit will forever live on in our hearts. Her legacy will endure, reminding us to embrace life's joys, show compassion toward all living creatures, and cherish the precious moments spent with loved ones. Patricia Lila Accardi – a remarkable soul whose light will shine eternally. She loved Proverbs 31:31 "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
