Eva Rae “Pat” Rozack

Eva Rae “Pat” Rozack, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025 at the age of 69 in her home.

Pat was born on January 27, 1956, in Culbertson, Montana, to William Homer and Dorothy Ann Goodwin. In 1959, her family moved to Evans, Colorado, and eventually settled in Bennett in 1968— a town that would remain close to her heart. She attended Bennett High School and proudly earned her diploma from the American School in 1974. Growing up she was a daddy’s girl and loved helping with the family while Homer went to work at the truck shop.

Pat met her husband, James Rozack, in 1973, and they were married on November 20 of that same year in Denver, Colorado. Their love stood the test of time, rooted in loyalty, and a shared commitment to family. Together they lived in Denver, spent a short time in Indiana, and ultimately made Colorado their lifelong home.

Pat dedicated much of her professional life to the healthcare industry, working in various roles where her compassion and strong work ethic shone brightly. She served many years at Rose Medical Center and later at North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton. Later in life, she worked for DJR Well Service, a family-run business owned by her brothers—a job that brought her closer to her roots.

Family was everything to Pat. She was one of eleven siblings: Shirley, Roger, Sharon, Bob, Quentin, Chopper, Scott, Gary, Lois, and Donna. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family; she was known to her many nieces and nephews as a second mother, a fun aunt, and the heart of every gathering. In 1986, after years of navigating the adoption process, Pat and Jim welcomed their son, Nick, into their lives—a moment they cherished deeply.

Pat had a passion for many things: She was an extraordinary cook who loved trying new recipes and had an incredible collection she lovingly passed on to “The Girls.” Her meals brought people together—especially during family sleepovers, backyard barbecues, and the legendary Goodwin Christmas Parties. She made that annual celebration a joyful promise kept to her mother, ensuring the family stayed close and connected.

A creative spirit, Pat found joy in sewing—crafting Halloween costumes, doll clothes, blankets, and special handmade gifts for the Goodwin Christmas Party. She had a camera always in hand and took thousands of photos over the years, capturing family memories that she later turned into treasured scrapbooks. She even attended scrapbooking conventions with Sissy and Brianna, making memories as she preserved them.

Her love for animals was unmatched. Pat’s home was always filled with pets—many of them rescues she lovingly welcomed in. She had a special place in her heart for elderly animals, strays, and those in need of a safe and loving home.

Pat was a nurturer, a connector, and a constant in the lives of many. She leaves behind a deep legacy of love, generosity, and togetherness that will continue to guide her family.

She is survived by her husband, James Rozack; her son Nick (Jamie) Rozack; her grandson Tyson; brothers Quentin (Penne), Scott (Kim), and Gary (Penny); sister Shirley (James); and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorthy Goodwin, brothers Roger, Bob, and Chopper, and sister Sharon “Ralph.”
