Patricia (Pat) Dorothy Adams, 92, died November 19, 2025.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 30, 1933. She married Fred Adams on October 15, 1955 in Chicago, and they resided there until 1962. The met while they were both employees of General Mills.
The originally came to Emporia in 1969. She became a legal secretary until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and enjoyed traveling, bridge, reading and walking. She was an active member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, including serving on the vestry, the altar guild, and taught Sunday School.
Pat and Fred retired to Hendersonville, North Carolina in 1985 where they enjoyed traveling throughout the mountains and entertaining many visits from relatives and friends. Pat and Fred returned to Emporia in 2005 and enjoyed the closeness of their son, Ken, and granddaughter, Kristi, and renewing acquaintances of friends.
She is survived by two children, daughter; Pamela Scoggins, Emporia, Kansas, and son; Kenneth Adams, Emporia, Knasas, two grandchildren and twin great-granddaughters, and a brother, Bill, of Yorkville, Illinois.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be at a date to be announced at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Emporia, Kansas. The family requests no flowers.
