Patricia Barlament Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Lynne (Knudsen) Barlament

October 11, 1943 - May 23, 2025

Patricia "Pat" Lynne (nee: Knudsen) Barlament, 81, passed away at her home on Friday, May 23, 2025 after a long, courageous battle with pulmonary hyperparathyroidism.

Pat was born on October 11, 1943 to William Knute Knudsen and Lillian Ada (nee: Betzig) Knudsen.

On October 15, 1966 she was united in marriage to David "Tooler" Barlament at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, where they both remained active members in their parish. Pat was instrumental in organizing the church's Cancer Survivor Group for which she herself was a multiple cancer survivor.

She was a graduate of William Horlick High School, class of 1961. During her high school years, she marched with the Racine Elks Youth Band as a saxophone player.

After graduation, Pat went to work at S.C. Johnson of Racine as an administrative secretary. Pat retired in 1999 after 37 years of service. Her retirement party was held at the S.C. Johnson Wax Council House and hosted by her boss, Neal Nottleson, who was also retiring. Pat was a retired trustee and member of the 20 year club.

Pat enjoyed spending time at their home in Necedah, WI. Both Pat and Dave were active members of the Lions Club in Necedah for 25 years.

Pat was Chief Inspector for Mt. Pleasant voting polls for 12 years. She enjoyed needlepoint, snowmobiling, the Green Bay Packers, and Cranberry Fest in Warrens, WI. Pat was also the organizer for many family reunions that would be held at S.C. Johnson Park and Recreation center. Both Pat and Dave were volunteers at Habitat for Humanity.

She is deeply missed by her husband of 58 years, Dave "Tooler"; sister, Kris (Rich) Wonders; nieces, Roxanne (Tom) Robbins, Cheryl (Ryan) Wonders, and Jenny (Todd) Wonders; great-niece, Dawn Vincent; twin great niece and nephew, Jessica (Will) Robbins and Tommy (Kelsey) Robbins; great-great nieces and nephews Chel Vincent, Ava Johnson, Jaxon Johnson, Noelle and Audriana Reynoso, and Harrison and Aleigha Robbins; brother-in-law, Josh Wasik.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Knudsen; mother-in-law, Elsie Barlament; sister, Judy Wasik; and great-great nephew, Nathan Vincent.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Communion Lutheran Church on Kinzie Avenue in Racine on Monday, June 2, 2025. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 12:00 noon. Interment will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park on Highway 20 in Racine.

The family would like to thank Pastors Mark and Laura of Holy Communion Lutheran Church for their support and visiting Pat in her final hours. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Pat, we ask that you please donate to Holy Communion Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion Lutheran Church Food Pantry in her name.

She was so kind. I remember when I worked second shift and she came in late asking me to send an urgent telex. She brought treats because of the lateness and the rush. But, it was SHE that was working late. We were already there. She was a gem.
