Patricia Lucille Lowrance Brown, 94, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 13 in hospice care near her daughter Lisa's home in San Antonio, TX. A long-time Upper Arlington and Dublin resident, Pat began her Ohio career as the secretary at Overbrook Presbyterian Church and later became an active and vital member where she interviewed and wrote about members of the church for the newsletter. She also was a Stephen Minister, listening and tending to those experiencing some type of hurt. She retired from many dedicated and successful years at Nationwide.
Pat loved entertaining and created a warm and beautiful home. Her family loved her home -cooked meals, always served with a side of humorous family stories. She threw the best birthday parties for her family. She had a passion for reading, writing, and story-telling.
Born August 20, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois to James Oliver Lowrance and Sibyl Lucille Gordon Lowrance, she was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Kelly Brown and her beloved beagle, Charlie Brown.
After the birth of her first grandchild, Pat became Grammy to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her children, Diane Craig (Ira Luntz), Lisa Craig, J. Scott Craig (Nannette Parcher), and, grandchildren Joseph Craig (Bethany Liefer), Lucia Craig, Patrick Regan (Erin Roberson), and James Regan (Carina Hiscock).
A memorial service will be held at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at http://overbrookchurch.org/give/memorial-giving/

I am so blessed to have met Pat through her furry baby "Charlie". I enjoyed every day walking Charlie and then spending time visiting Pat before starting my day. She was a great listener and advise giver. She will remain close to my heart forever along with her beloved pet Charlie.

I met Pat through my Uncle, Dan Lane. Pat was so elegant, smart and kind! I would come bounding into our meetings, usually late and worked up about something. Chatting with her always calmed me and made me better. She took a genuine interest in my and my family. You all were SO lucky to have her :)
RIP to one great lady. - Much love to you all. - Sue Berg, Realtor

I will miss Grammy Brown so much.

A friend for 51 years, the grandmother to my children, a kind person to all who knew her.

She had a way of gathering people to her; uniting them with kindness and humor. She and my parents, Hutch and Jackie Hutchings became good friends...sharing grandparent duties together and loads of Christmases, birthdays, graduations, football games and choral concerts.

Joe and Lucia Craig were graduates of Overbrook Preschool, where Pat Brown worked, first as the church secretary, and later as a vital member of the church with her husband, Jack Brown.

She interviewed the older members of the church and wrote up their stories for the church bulletin. She was a member of the Stephen Ministries, "One-to-one Christian Care for Hurting People."

Until we meet again...
