Patricia Cassidy

Patricia Ellen Keegan Cassidy, known to many as "Kiki", of Somerset, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 5th at home, after a fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 63 years of age.

Born in St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick and raised in North Brunswick, she lived in Milltown where she was a Pre-K teacher at the Center for Early Learning, as well as the Learn and Care and House of Montessori. Kiki moved back to North Brunswick to care for her parents in their final year of life. She and Angelo, her life partner, then moved to Somerset, where she resided until her death. She worked for years at KinderCare in North Brunswick, where her students affectionately knew her as "Miss Pat," until her retirement

Patricia enjoyed spending time in nature, caring for the birds and animals in her neighborhood, watching cardinals, gardening and cooking for her neighbors. She also loved taking photographs of flowers, rainbows and all aspects of nature as well as sunrises and sunsets. She cherished her trips for annual family reunions in upstate New York as well spending time with her many cousins from her father's side in Fish Creek, Saugerties and the surrounding areas. Kiki loved religious quotes and prayers, having grown up in a very religious Catholic family, strong in their faith and beliefs. Kiki possessed great spirituality and shared daily inspiring posts with gorgeous pictures on her Facebook account. Those most important to her were her family, friends, loved ones and the children she taught over the many years of her career.

She was predeceased by her parents, Donald & Irene Keegan; and brothers, John and David Keegan.

She is survived by her son, Richard J. Cassidy V, of Toms River; life partner, Angelo Trento of Somerset; brothers, Christopher and Kevin Keegan, both of North Brunswick and Peter Keegan of Elgin, South Carolina; and sisters, Mary Abeyta of Princeton, Kathleen Locatell of Riverside and Donna Vogt of Goldsboro, North Carolina as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and countless cousins.

Private cremation services have been handled under the professional direction of the GLEASON FUNERAL HOME of NORTH BRUNSWICK.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday August 16th from 12-3pm at the GLEASON FUNERAL HOME of NORTH BRUNSWICK, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, New Jersey with service at 2:30 PM.
