Obituary for Jack Rowley Jr. November 4, 1938 – November 12, 2025
Jack Rowley Jr., 87, of North Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at Parker Rehabilitation Home in Somerset. Born on November 4, 1938, in Trenton, New Jersey, Jack was the beloved son of the late Jack Rowley Sr. and Ruth (Volsted) Rowley. He spent his early years in Trenton before the family relocated to New Brunswick, where he attended the local schools system and graduated from New Brunswick High School.
Following his graduation, Jack pursued higher education at Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania. During his time there, he flourished both academically and socially, becoming deeply involved in Greek life and proudly serving as president of his fraternity (Delta Sigma Phi) in his senior year. After earning his bachelor's degree, Jack began his professional career in California as a salesman for Peterbilt Trucking. It was there that he met the love of his life, Aida (Aleman) Rowley, with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. The couple wed in 1965 and soon returned to New Jersey, where Jack joined his family's business, Brunswick Blueprint, founded by his father.
Jack dedicated much of his life to Brunswick Blueprint, eventually becoming the sole owner following his parents' passing. He successfully continued the family legacy until his retirement in 2000, marking the start of a joyful 25-year retirement. Jack and Aida made their home on Schmidt Lane in North Brunswick, where they raised their family and created cherished memories over six decades.
A man of deep faith and community, Jack was a longtime parishioner of St. Augustine of Canterbury Church in Kendall Park. He was a familiar face at parish events, often volunteering as a cook at church bingo nights and lending his professional expertise to the church community. Jack graciously reproduced the blueprints for the current St. Augustine's Church building, as well as for North Brunswick High School.
Jack's passions were many. He was an avid movie enthusiast, as his all-time favorite being Shane, and enjoyed classics such as One-Eyed Jacks, Out of Africa, and Sergeant York. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, he loved golf, reading, and connecting with fellow alumni through the Waynesburg Alumni Association, where he remained an active and supportive member for many years.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Aida Norma Rowley; his two sons, Clifford T. Rowley and Jeffery John Rowley; his sister, Linda Peacock; and his grandson, Matthew.
A formal visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Gleason Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church in Kendall Park. Interment and a graveside committal service will take place at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick at 12:30 p.m.
