Agnes Claire Sansone

Agnes Claire Sansone, 84, formerly of North Brunswick, New Jersey, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, under the care of her family in Marietta, Georgia. Agnes, known socially as Claire, was born on September 1,1941 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She was the only child of the late Charles and Agnes Glanfield and grew up in Edison.
Claire graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgian Court College, where she served as president of her senior class. She was an award-winning teacher of Latin and German at Carteret High School, making many dear and life-long friends during her tenure. At Carteret, she adapted her mastery of Latin to create a gifted and talented program targeted at augmenting vocabulary for the standardized college admissions test.
In 1963, Claire married the love of her life, Angelo Joseph Sansone. Claire and Angelo lived happily ever after together for forty-three years, until his death in 2006. Claire had an infectious laugh, a quick wit and loved planning zany adventures for her friends and family. She delighted in travel, family genealogy and caring for her rescue dogs.
Claire is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela Marie Sansone and Jack Reagan, and her granddaughter, Kathryn Claire Reagan. She is survived by John and Nancy Raychel, John Matthew Raychel, Christopher and Donna Abatemarco, Michael and Jill Raychel and many cousins and extended family members. She is also survived by her best friend, Patricia Reilly.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 9 to 10:30 in the morning, at the Gleason Funeral Home located at 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ. Mass will follow at 11 am at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, 192 Sandford Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey. A chapel committal service will be held at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Jamesburg New Jersey,840 Cranbury South River Road at 12:30 pm.
