Vittorro "Vito" Roch Sansone

September 13, 1993 – October 22, 2025

Vittorro "Vito" Roch Sansone was born on September 13, 1993, at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, he grew up in the 8th Ward's St. Roch neighborhood. Following Hurricane Katrina, he lived in Watson and Denham Springs, Louisiana, for four years before spending three years in Los Angeles, California.

Vito attended Audubon Montessori, Resurrection Elementary, Coghill Elementary, Edward Hynes Elementary, Holy Cross, Oak Hills Middle, and New Orleans International Charter School.

Vito had a passion for travel, skateboarding, video games, music, and cooking. He loved raising chickens and had a big heart for animals. A sports enthusiast, he played football as a wide receiver and baseball as a pitcher, first baseman, and center fielder for Lakeview Baseball.

Above all, Vito was the proud and devoted father of his daughter, Violet Rose (mother, Teraneshia), his "Pride and Joy." He also shared a special bond with his "fur family" - the late Frosty and Grizley Gumbo, and Rocky.

He is survived by his loving parents, Maricia "Tookey" Bloodwirth Sansone and James "Big Jimmy" Sansone IV.

Vito was preceded in death by his brother, James "Lil Jimmy" Sansone V; his grandparents, Marietta "Yo-Yo" Ally Bloodwirth and Yvonne Gerard Sansone Michel; and great-grandparents Sorrob Ally (Myrtle Desdunes), Watt Bloodwirth (Thelma Bardell), James Sansone (Antoinette Matranga), and Charles Gerard (Marie Douseau).

He is also survived by his grandfather, Clyde "Blood" Bloodwirth, and a large, loving extended family, including: Aunts and uncles Shelly Sansone, Debbie LaRocca, Marcia Bloodwirth (Eddie), Cherita Bloodwirth (Michael), Monica Robiho (Melvin), Alyson Walton (Ty), Cosetta Bradford (Sean), Charles Sansone Sr. (Margaret), Robert Sansone Sr. (Paulette), Mirta, Belinda, Margarita; Milton (Jean); and a host of cousins including John Dupart Sr, the Dupart/Martin Family, Kathy, Nicole, Sheena, Alvin, Elizabeth, Charlie S., Joseph S., Patricia, Robert "Tito," Ginovanni, Soryia, Lil Robert, Sonja, Christian, Eddie Jr., Steven, Joshua, Dominick, Giovanni, Marcus, Dallen, Jolie, Tylar, Camden, Hannah, Sarah, Jadah, Hailey, Kingston, Ivy, Shannon Jr., Carter, Benton, Grayson, Steven Jr., Mila, Wonona, Marvin Joseph Mougous, Judy Lynn, Irving Jr, Angel and many more from near and far.

Vito was also close to his childhood friend, the late Grant Jayson Weidamen, and leaves behind countless friends and loved ones across Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Chicago, New Jersey, Denver, Washington, and California.

Vito will be remembered for his bright smile, adventurous spirit, and the love he poured into his family and friends. His laughter, kindness, and energy touched everyone who knew him, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him most.

In honor of Vito's vibrant spirit, the family asks that guests wear royal purple or sky blue or send flowers in those colors.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, 3037 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA 70117, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 10:00 AM. The burial will be in St. Patrick #1 Cemetery.
