Patricia M. Chapman ObituaryPatricia M. C. Chapman died peacefully Monday, June 19th, 2023 at the age of 87 (21 in leap years). Wife of the late Richard L. Chapman and loving mother of Paul (Nicole) Chapman-Farley. Survived by beloved cousin Audrey (late Lee) Walsh, nephews Chris, Craig, and Kevin, many loving friends, and her cat, Ginger.
She was a proud alumna of St. Benedict High School, Chicago. Patti was an active volunteer with The Anti-Cruelty Society for many years and a faithful member of St. Anne's Sodality at St. Edward's, as well as the choir, where she practiced her skills showcased on The Gong Show as a member of the Mayfair Pantry Pretties.
Pat enjoyed travel, was a skilled seamstress, talented at cross-stitch, and loved gardens, indoor and out, and was especially fond of feeling the textures of the plants and smelling the fragrant ones, always followed by an "Oh, that's nice." In her note with her final wishes, she noted "I love my family, friends and animals," of which she had many of each.
Visitation Friday June 23rd from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at TOHLE FUNERAL HOME 4325 W. Lawrence Ave. Chicago, IL 60630. A funeral mass will follow at ST. EDWARD CATHOLIC CHURCH 4350 W. Sunnyside Ave. Chicago, IL 60630 at 11:00 AM. Interment immediately following at MARYHILL CEMETERY 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave. Niles, IL 60714.
