Patricia Lynn Close

Patty Close, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 13, 2023. Patty was a lifetime resident of Okeechobee born July 14, 1958. She loved reading, music, her dogs, horses, working in her yard and taking care of everyone. She loved the beach. She loved her family.
Mrs. Close was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Fulwider, and mother, Ann Lindesmith.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Greg Close, of Okeechobee, Florida; her children, Melanie (Joel) Vincent, of Oak Hill, Florida, Dale (Janet) Sheppard, of Oak Hill, Florida, and Byron (Heidi) Close, of Okeechobee, Florida; other close and well loved family members, Jennifer Leah, of Sebastian, Florida, Trinity, Brianna, Cody, Blaine, Kenny and Melissa Close, Emily (Korey) Close; Evalyn and William, Andy, Darla and Bonnie, Gary; and many other cousins.
The family will receive friends 2 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
