Patricia Combs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home - East Louisville on Jul. 18, 2025.
Patricia "Pat" Combs, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025
Born on January 14, 1952, to the late Phillip and Adrienne Schevetto, Pat was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1970. Not long after, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Kennie Combs. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising two children and working side-by-side in several businesses. Pat brought her organizational skills and attention to detail to every endeavor, especially excelling in administrative roles.
Pat had a selfless spirit and a heart full of generosity. She was endlessly creative and poured love into everything she did-from her delicious home-cooked meals to her vibrant gardens. She had a special bond with animals and enjoyed the simple joys of riding motorcycles with Kennie and flying alongside him as his trusted navigator.
A woman of quiet strength, Pat bravely overcame lymphoma in 1997. She lived with courage, determination, and a love for life that was truly inspiring. Never one to back down from a challenge, she once beat her husband's time in a car race-just one example of her spirited nature and love for friendly competition.
Pat was an attendee of St. Francis of Assisi. She will be remembered for her giving nature, boundless love, and the deep care she had for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded by brother: Ed Grant; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Esque and Betty Combs; brother-in-law, Jim Conrey, and her faithful dog companions: Jillie, Paisley, and Bill, as well as many others before them.. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her adoring husband, Kennie Combs; their two children: Kennie Ray Combs, Jr. and Stephanie Rae Combs; sister: Phyllis Conrey, and brother: Sonny (Kathy) Schevetto, as well as other family members and friends who will miss her very much.
Visitation will be from 12:30pm – 1:30pm, Monday, July 28, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to begin at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Aunt Patty was my aunt and Godmother. I don't remember a time that I did not love her and felt loved in return. Her huge, wide-open heart extended that love to my husband and sons. We are all heartbroken over her loss but so grateful to have had her in our lives.
