Patricia Dianne Comer, 72, of Hamptonville, NC, went to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was surrounded by the two men in her life, her husband Billy, her son, Dwayne and an unexpected Angel who was there throughout the journey (Christine).
Dianne was born January 25, 1953, in Yadkin County to the late Roger Hutchins and Gracie Brown Hutchins. She retired as a Senior Lab Technician from Unifi with 43 years of service.

She loved working with her hands doing flower arrangements and wreaths, even when her hands didn’t work so well. She also loved time spent at the beach, visiting lighthouses. When her health was good she enjoyed riding motorcycles with Bill and Dwayne. She served as news letter editor for the Mt. Airy Gold Wing Riders. She had a passion for this and enjoyed it very much.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, four nephews and a special grand dog, Bailey.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Billy Comer; son, Dwayne Comer; brother, Roger (Debbie) Hutchins; sisters, Linda Burnette, Dee Dee Stout, Becky (Bunny) Butcher, Chris (Randy) Roberts, Tammy (Jeff) Wilmoth, several nieces and nephews and grand dog, Emmi.
A family visitation will be held Friday October 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Per Dianne’s request dress casual, “Come as you are”.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to palliative care and the staff of the critical care unit at Forsyth Medical Center.
