Patricia A. Crawford

Patricia Ann Haworth Crawford, known to her family as Patsy Ann, Momo or just Mom, peacefully passed to Heaven on July 6, 2024, at the age of 96, in Peoria. She was born on October 17, 1927, to Russell and Ann Kathryn Franks Haworth.
Pat was always vibrant and friendly. Her warm personality and genuine interest in others endeared her to everyone. Being around people filled her with joy. She had a wide circle of friends and was beloved by all. She was the East Peoria Homecoming Queen in 1945.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Russell; her sister, Linda; her partner, Rex Howard; and her beloved husband, Jim Crawford, a WWII US Marine. They were married from 1946-2003.
Pat was a proud graduate of East Peoria Community High School. She worshipped at First Presbyterian Church and First Federated Church in Peoria. She worked for Caterpillar, served as head of the Red Cross Grey Ladies at Methodist Hospital and worked for the family business, The Shoe Salon "for women who just love shoes" and Crawford's Family Shoe Store.
She loved playing golf and bridge. Jim and Pat were lifetime members of the Mt. Hawley Country Club, where they both won many tournaments. They both were great dancers and seemed to float on the dance floor together.
Pat was a courageous fighter and an inspiration to many. Thanks to Dr. Tom Kouri, Dr. Merkley Dr. Ludtkmeyer and others for outstanding medical care. We appreciate Buehler Home and staff who cared for Pat like family.
She is survived by her two children, Kim Russell Crawford and Kathy Anne Chittick, along with her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Fairchild Crawford and Mark Chittick. Pat's legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kristopher Russell Crawford, Noelle Chittick Fahey (Michael) and Adam Chittick (Lauren) and her great-grandchildren, Olive and Patrick Fahey, Madison and Emma Chittick.
A Funeral Service will be held at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with a visitation before the funeral from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
