Patricia Ann Veza Dagley has passed on to receive her reward in heaven. Pat was a kind and generous human being. She loved ferociously and gave all that she had for those she loved.

She attended St. Agnes Academy, graduating in 1967. It was there that she cultivated lifelong friendships with many of her classmates, who referred to her as "Patty." These friendships were of paramount importance to her throughout her life, and she cherished each one. Soon after, she created lifelong friendships with the other residents in the Holly Hils neighborhood, and they formed a card club that still meets for Christmas and has continued on through the next generation.

Pat was a devoted and caring mother to her three children, Dawn, Johnny, & Erin, along with her stepson Douglas. She was also an involved and loving grandmother & great-grandmother, attending sporting events, school activities, and family functions to Caroline Rose, Camille, Charlie, Ryan, Emma, Ben & RJ, and Louisiana, Vivian. She also loved her Sissy.

Pat was instrumental in caring for her mother, her mother-in-law, and her brothers, Tom & Daniel Veza, who preceded her in death. Pat had a caregiver/nuturer's heart, providing love and support for those around her. Her greatest joy came from helping those she loved.

She had a sharp sense of humor, a keen wit, and a sarcasm that was unmatched…she was always willing to inject humor into an uncomfortable situation to help others feel at ease. *In her younger years, Pat was known to 'stir the pot' and 'make waves.' However, as she aged and matured, her goal was to live a quiet, peaceful, drama-free life. She made that transition with grace. Life changed dramatically for her with the devastating loss of her grandson, Christopher.

Pat's 34-year marriage to Steve Dagley was a source of pride and joy. She always knew that she was honored and loved by him.

Pat enjoyed beach vacations (especially when her daughter-in-law, Megan, planned them). Playing poker is a family pastime, which she always enjoyed raking in the winnings from Earnie or Rob. Lastly, she was a fierce patriot who rarely was seen without Trump memorabilia. Pat loved life and remembered birthdays! She became the matriarch of family outings at the big house in Waldron, Indiana. She will always be remembered for her intuition & secret gestures!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at St Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227, at 10:00 AM. A brief visitation will be at 9:15 for those who can't stay. Afterwards, please join us to share memories, laughs, and a delicious mercy meal at Napoli Villa.
