Patricia Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ely Funeral Home - Neptune from Mar. 2 to Mar. 6, 2026.
Patricia Davis, 81, was born on June 20, 1944, in Asbury Park to the late Robert and Madeline Davis. She peacefully departed this life at her home in Stockbridge, GA on February 27, 2026.

Patricia received her education through the Asbury Park school system and went on to work various jobs to provide for her family. In her early years, she served as a preschool and kindergarten teacher's aide, faithfully following her love for working with children. Later in life, she became an employee of the Asbury Park Press, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring.

After retirement, Patricia sought to renew and deepen her faith. She became a devoted member of New Life Tabernacle Church, in Asbury Park, NJ, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community.

Patricia held her family close to her heart and cherished hosting holiday gatherings that brought loved ones together. She enjoyed cooking, spending meaningful time with friends and family, and crocheting-an art she practiced with patience and care. She was an adoptive mother to many of her children's friends, but most prominently wearing the badge of a Cazzeek mom.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Deborah Davis, Diane Davis, and Denise Saunders, as well as her son, Keith Lyons.

She is survived by her four siblings: Robert Davis of NJ, Brenda Johnson of NJ, William Davis of NJ, and Richard Davis (Sally) of LA. Four children: Sonya Davis of NJ, Tyrone Davis and Tina Latimore of GA, Anthony Davis (Frances) of NC, and Stewart Davis of NJ. Twelve Grandchildren: D'Elman Davis, Margaret Davis Oats, Kamal Davis, Ashley Latimore, Ariel Davis, Aaron Verrett, Tiana Verrett, Sadarius Barnes, Tyra Barnes, Keith Lyons, Ariel Lyons and Naaji Lyons. Along with six great grandchildren.

Patricia Davis leaves behind a heartfelt legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family. Her warmth, strength, and quiet generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
