Patricia "Patsy" Ann Dodgens, 80, of Greer, South Carolina, passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and her beloved Yorkie, Sunshine, on November 15th.
Born in Greenville and raised in Startex, SC, Patsy was the daughter of the late Reverend Raymond and Marie McGaha Dodgens. She lived a full and meaningful life centered on love and faith and was the proud owner of Update Barber and Style for 24 years, where she warmly served her community.
In her earlier years, Patsy often attended Abner Creek Baptist Church, and later Burnsview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three children: Robert Gary Johnson, Terry Wayne Johnson, and Regina Marie Poulnott; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Patsy enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with the special family and friends she loved so dearly. Known for her high-spirited personality, energy, and humor, she also had a generous heart and a natural way of lifting others up. Her warmth and lively nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May her gentle and loving spirit rest in peace, forever cherished by those who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Wood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 2PM at Stribling Funeral Home prior to the service.
