Patricia Doolittle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Malloy & Son Funeral Home - Galveston on May 19, 2025.
Patricia Ann Zoch Doolittle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Galveston, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 73.
Born on December 8, 1951, in Giddings, Texas, Patricia brought light, creativity, and love into every space she touched. With a background in performing arts focused on theater and music, she lived a life infused with artistry and imagination. Early in her career, Patricia and her husband, James Doolittle, made music together, performing in Austin's number-one rock band-an era filled with rhythm, passion, and community.
Patricia also played a meaningful role during the early days of James Avery Artisan Jewelry, where she served as a dedicated team leader. Her commitment to the company was so steadfast that the work she poured herself into helped cover the cost of her children's births-earning them the loving nickname "James Avery babies." It was a testament to how Patricia blended hard work, creativity, and care to support her growing family.
Her life journey took her far beyond Texas, including a memorable chapter managing the Four Seasons retail store while living on the island of Nevis in the West Indies. Wherever she was, Patricia was a creative force and a devoted leader, bringing excellence, grace, and warmth to every endeavor.
Married to James for 45 beautiful years, Patricia was the heart of her family. She is survived by her husband, James Doolittle; her children, Zach Doolittle and Kory El-Refaei; her daughter-in-law, Allison Doolittle, and son-in-law, Christopher El-Refaei; and her cherished grandchildren, Autumn, Anthony, and Luna Doolittle, and Zain and Mia El-Refaei.
She is also survived by her sisters, Suzy, Nancy, and Denise; her brothers-in-law, Pat and Graydon Doolittle, Rod and Todd Archer; her sister-in-law, Donna Doolittle, Kathy Doolittle; and her many nieces and nephews-Josh, Kaleigh, Jeffrey, and Scott Archer; Shawn and Chelsea Ryan; Eric, Robbie, Matthew, and Sarah Doolittle; and Marta Matsumoto.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jonathan Doolittle; her parents, Annie and Calvin Zoch; and her in-laws, Juanita and Robert Doolittle.
Patricia was a dreamer, a memory-maker, and a bringer of magic. Her love of nature, her talent for transforming ordinary days into unforgettable moments, and her boundless devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She gave the moon to her children, and it now shines in her grandchildren.

I always enjoyed our talks when she came to Onalaska to visit her mother in law. So sorry that she is gone but will never be forgotten. RIP.

Pat was a very special friend and classmate at South Park High School. I have many special memories of our times together in Latin Club and Speech/Debate. She will forever be in our hearts.
