Patricia R. Drumwright

Patricia Ryan Drumwright, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Myrtle Beach, SC, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 30, 2025. Pat was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Princeton, WV, to the late Robert J. Ryan and Genevieve G. Ryan. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas Franklin Drumwright Jr. Pat was a longtime member of Episcopal and Anglican Church. She earned her bachelor's degree in home economics from Concord College and her master's degree from Ohio State University. Pat was an educator, and while living in New Kensington, worked as a substitute teacher for more than 20 years in the Burrell and New Ken Arnold school districts. Pat and her husband, Tom, retired to Myrtle Beach, SC, for the last 28 years. Pat will be remembered for her love for her family, her cookie-baking talents, cross-stitch skills, and love of travel, as she, Tom, and daughter, Kathy toured the country and world together. She is survived by her son, Thomas Franklin Drumwright III (Cynthia); daughter, Kathryn Ryan Drumwright; brother, John W. Ryan; grandsons, Ryan Thomas Drumwright and Colin Lee Drumwright (Jessica); and great-grandchildren, Lena Drumwright and Logan Drumwright. Arrangements are being handled by MCMILLAN-SMALL FUNERAL HOME, Myrtle Beach, SC. A private funeral will be held at Trinity Church, Myrtle Beach, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf at www.wpsd.org.
