Our beloved mother Patricia Ann Dubay (Sullivan) died peacefully with her family by her side on October 20, 2024, in Concord, NH, at 85 years of age. Pat was born March 12, 1939, at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, MA, to Cornelius, and Alice (Couture) Sullivan.
Pat was the last of her parents' eight children, growing up on Sullivan Ave. in Gilbertville, MA. After years of travel as a military wife she settled in Berwick, ME, where she became an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. This community allowed her to explore her faith through friendships and service to the Parish.
Pat was a lover of card games, scrabble, puzzles, and books. She loved tea IF you knew how to make it. For many years she planted a very large garden and looked forward to seed catalogs arriving after the new year. In middle life she learned to play the piano; a bucket list accomplishment.
Pat was primarily a stay-at-home mother however, in her 50's and 60's she worked for Homemakers, a service for the elderly in New Hampshire. She enjoyed extending her love of homemaking to those who could no longer do it all without help.
In recent years Pat lived with the family of her fifth child which became a four-generation household in Canterbury, NH. Her last two children, Julie and Terri, cared for her together. Both daughters considered this to be a joy and an honor.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, Margret, Richard, John, Frances, Roger, Donald, and Neil.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Wendyann Boston (Alvin), Susan Daigneault, Michael Dubay, Timothy Dubay, Julie Mercier (Scott) and Terri Dubay (Nicole Comtois); her grandchildren, Steven, Michelle, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Justin, Taylor, and Nicolas; and her great grandchildren, McKinley, Noah, Lewis, Theodore, Julianna, and Denver.
A Funeral Mass will be held November 2, 2024, at Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Church, 162 Agamenticus Rd, South Berwick, ME at 11:00am. In Lieu of flowers please consider donation to Catholic Charities. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
