Patricia Ann (Beite) Dubé, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2025. She was born on May 29, 1941 in Norwalk, CT to Frank and Fran Beite. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jackie, and her husband Ed.
She was happily married to Edward Dubé for more than 50 years until his death in 2021. She is survived by her children Erik (Meghan) Dubé and Nicolle Dubé, her grandchildren, Luke, Ava, Ryan, and Matthew, bonus grandchildren Kayleigh and Aidan, many loving nieces and nephews, wonderful cousins, and lifelong friends.
Patty worked as a secretary in a law firm for many years and tirelessly supported Ed's job as a Norwalk fire lieutenant and also his side businesses. She loved to spend time with friends and family, travel, and shop. She enjoyed many afternoons at the beaches in Norwalk and Westport. She was often referred to as "the fun one" and there are countless stories of the adventures many have shared with her over the years. She could always be found cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events and loved telling others of their many successes. She loved a good game and often cheered for football, baseball, and hockey on TV, adopting her son's favorite teams as her own (although she leaned towards the Islanders over the Rangers). She enjoyed music and even got to check off attending a Train concert from her bucket list several years ago.
Her strength and courage were admirable. She faced adversity with humor and grit. Her kind heart, witty sense of humor, and deep love for friends and family will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Church 169 Black Rock Tpke, Redding, CT on Friday, June 13th at 11am. A reception at the church will follow for friends and family.
The family would like to thank Patty's caregivers and home health aides and RVNA Hospice whose commitment and care in recent months made all the difference.
