Patricia A. Dybzinski (nee Zelenka), age 75, visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Jakubs & Son Funeral Home, 936 E. 185th Street, Cleveland. Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM, Friday at St. Jerome Parish, 15000 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of mass. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. Patricia was born on July 27, 1950, in Cleveland to Joseph and Mary (nee Geletka) Zelenka (both deceased) and she passed away on October 8, 2025.
Pat was a 1968 graduate of St. John Cantius High School and retired as a nurse for the Cleveland Clinic after 40 years of service.
Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the warmth of family. She was a gifted cook and baker, known for filling her home with the comforting aromas of homemade meals and sweet treats. Her hands were rarely still; whether crocheting intricate patterns (which she would take to craft shows), she delighted in creativity and craftsmanship. Patricia especially cherished family trips to Amish Country, where tradition and togetherness came alive. Their beloved log cabin home near Wooster was more than a gathering place, it was a haven of laughter, love, and lasting memories. A devoted member of St. Jerome Parish, Patricia was active in the Altar and Rosary Society, where her faith and generosity shone brightly. She initiated "Souper Sunday," a heartfelt tradition of serving donated soups to fellow parishioners a simple act of kindness that nourished both body and spirit. Hosting family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who shared those moments with her.
Patricia is the beloved wife of Richard Dybzinski whom she married on April 16, 1994. Loving mother of Maria who was adopted from Paraguay and Jose who was adopted from Guatemala. Patricia was the last surviving of seven children born to Joseph and Mary Zelenka. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings: Beverly Pacanovsky (Bob), Joe Zelenka (Sharel), Ann Marie Zelenka, Joan Juhas (Joe), David Zelenka (Cheryl), and Bob Zelenka (Linda). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3 Summit Park Dr #550, Independence, OH 44131.
