Patricia "Patty" Finks passed away peacefully at her home on October 8, 2025, in Maxwell, California.
Patty was born in Spokane, Washington in 1944, the daughter of Edward and Marie Morton.
She had many siblings: Priscilla, Sam, Danny, Shirley, Darlene, and Eddy. At an early age, her family settled in Maxwell, and she spent her entire life in Maxwell. She attended Maxwell Elementary and Maxwell High School where she met her husband Charles Finks, and they had
four children, Robert, Toni, Kenny, and Jenny. As time went on, she became a grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
Patty was involved in Junior Women's, taught swimming lessons to countless children within the community and worked for Chevron for over 20 years.
Patty was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a beacon of love in our lives. Patty's warmth and compassion touched many, but it was her role as a mother that she truly shined.
She is survived by her son Robert (Chung Hui) Finks, Toni (John) Benson and Jennifer (Vincent) Cassell. She is proceeded in death by her husband Charles Finks, son Kenneth Finks, parents Edward and Marie Morton, sister Shirley Rennick and brother Edward Morton.
There will be a vigil on October 23, 2025, from 4 to 8pm, with the reading of the rosary starting at 6pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Catholic Church on October 24, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a luncheon to follow at the Maxwell Legion Hall.
