Patricia Kincaid Fix, age 90 of Batavia, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Patty was born May 27, 1933, to Robert E. and Cappie Kincaid at their home in Middletown, OH. She married her dear husband Joseph in 1956 and they raised their three children in Milford, eventually moving to her parent's farm, Pine Lane Farm, in Owensville. Patty earned a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Cincinnati and worked as a substitute teacher for Milford schools. She was a charter member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Milford where she served in many leadership roles for over 65 years. Patty's most meaningful work was caring for the family farm where her children and grandchildren raised goats and cattle and participated each year at the Clermont County Fair. She was highly respected and adored by the local 4H and small farming community. Patty started a business with her daughters producing artisan goat milk soaps and continued to care for countless creatures into her final years. She was a lifelong learner-she could often be found honing a new skill, studying a new interest, or caring for her plants and vegetable garden. Patty was often described by those who met her as an extraordinary woman-full of wit, curiosity, tenacity, and loyalty to her family. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Cappie Kincaid, husband Joseph Fix, niece Jennifer Scott, and her beloved little white dog Bonnie.
She is survived by her children, Andrew Stephen Fix of Milford, OH, Martha Fix Enriquez (Michael) of Batavia, OH, Rebecca Fix Jones (Douglas) of Loveland, OH, sister Barbara Scott of Pleasant Plain, OH, and grandchildren Katherine Melinda Fix, Jeremiah Joseph Fix, Olivia Grace Enriquez, Sophia Marie Enriquez, Isabelle Linn Jones, Theodore Douglas Jones, nieces and nephews Douglas Scott (Jan), Terry Scott, Elizabeth Strauss, and Cody Strauss, and her great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday May 14 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church located at 5657 Pleasant View Dr. Milford, OH 45150. A formal funeral service will immediately follow visitation hours. A private burial service and family gathering will take place at Greenberry Cemetery in Jackson Township, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral home.
