Patricia "Patty" Flanagan-Boland

Patricia "Patty" Flanagan-Boland, a devoted mother and loving wife, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2nd. She is survived by her husband, two children, two cherished grandchildren, and loving brother, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Patty will be remembered for her warmth, courage, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her children. Her love and kindness touched all who knew her. Patty was the quintessential cool Mom. Her home was a place of laughter and love for all who entered. She went on more field trips to the Art Institute of Chicago with her son, Patrick, than any other parent at Hinsdale South High School could or would want to go on. In addition to having a love for art and music (particularly "The Blues"), Patty was an avid sports fan with unique experiences, including: attending all 3 Bulls home championship games; sitting 7 rows behind Crawford's right shoulder during the Hawks Stanley Cup run; and, above all, seeing her beloved Steelers win Super Bowl XL in Detroit. Patty also loved to travel, which included annual trips to Door County with her young family and to Pittsburgh every summer to visit her cherished nieces: Laura, Alaina, and Clare. Patty's daughter Maggie's fondest memories of her mother include walking into town in Fish Creek, WI, and sharing laughter on the banks of Lake Michigan.

Patty's visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th, from 3pm to 8pm at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave. in Darien. Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald house in Patricia's name at ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org/donate.
