Patricia Glynn “Patsy” Whitt Morris, age 76, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of the late John Elbert “Johnny” Morris, Jr., departed this life Thursday morning, October 24, 2024 at her home.
Patsy was born October 21, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Forest Glenn Whitt and Juanita Butts Whitt. She was married September 17, 1982 to John Elbert “Johnny” Morris, Jr. who preceded her in death on May 8, 2022. Patsy was employed as a travel agent for many years and enjoyed boating, cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and sitting on her front porch with her dog, Rip.
Mrs. Morris is survived by two sons, Andrew Davis (Becky) and Chris Morris (Teresa); two sisters, Deborah Hartup (James) and Suzanne Berretta (David); five grandchildren, Brittany Benedict (Josh), John C. Morris, Jr., Coleman G. Morris (Shelton), Clay Davis and Courtney Davis; her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth G. Morris; and many well-loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Kimery.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Morris were held at 2 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating. Interment was private.
The family requests that memorials be directed to American Cancer Society, 5101 Wheelis Drive, Suite 101, Memphis, TN 38117.
