Patricia Ann Gorecki

Patricia Ann Gorecki, 90, of Koontz Lake, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born on September 21, 1934, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Anna (Solik) Micko, Patricia lived a life full of compassion, service, and love for her family and community. A proud and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, she spent many years caring for others throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area before retiring.
Patricia was a longtime and active member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, where her faith and community involvement brought her great joy. Whether volunteering, organizing events, or simply lending a listening ear, she was always ready to give of her time and heart. She was especially proud of her faith and the friendships she built through her church and community service.
An avid reader and lifelong learner, Patricia also enjoyed traveling in her retirement years, exploring new places with a sense of wonder and curiosity. She loved a good scoop of ice cream, and nothing brought her greater happiness than time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment with them.
She is survived by her loving sons Donald (Tammy) Gorecki, Joseph (Susan) Gorecki, and William Gorecki; six beloved grandchildren: Alyssa (Peter) Bennett, Ryan Gorecki, Kristen (Parker) Johnson, Nicholas Gorecki, Morgan Gorecki, and Amanda Gorecki; and her cherished great-grandchildren Mason Bennett, Ethan Bennett, and Baby Johnson, soon to arrive. She also leaves behind her dear siblings: sisters Gerry Enright and Joan Boyle, and brothers Joseph "Bud" (Kathy) Micko and Frank Micko.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with Patricia's wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 19th at the Koontz Lake Association Clubhouse from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM CDT. Food and beverages provided. There will be a Memorial Service at 12:30 PM CDT also on Saturday, July 19th at the Clubhouse.
Patricia's legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
