Age 67, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Sonick and Regina Waters; Patty is survived by her devoted partner Gabrielle Devine, her cherished sister Dianne Yadouga, her talented nephew Dillon Yadouga, as well as countless cousins, extended family and an extraordinary circle of very close friends who were like family.
Patty had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She cherished her friends deeply, including her beloved furry companions. She found joy in dancing, music and the simple beauty of human connection. Despite the challenges she faced throughout her life, Patty's strength and resilience shone brightly, shaping her into a woman filled with boundless love and understanding. Her strength was matched by her remarkable kindness. She carried her own pain quietly, always smiling outwardly and never complaining, even in the face of hardship. Patty was a fighter and an extraordinary listener, offering her full heart to others while rarely sharing her own struggles. Her presence brought comfort, light and unwavering support to all who knew her.
As Patricia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers - a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water - a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Patricia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy she leaves behind.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4-7 PM at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish – St. Irenaeus Church, 387 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to Gabrielle Devine to assist with Patty's final arrangements.
