Patricia Cochran King

Patricia Cochran King 84, of Murphy, was called home to her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was a native of Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Murphy in the late 1960's. Pat worked as a bookkeeper for Arthur Anderson CPA while living in Atlanta. She later kept the books for the family business, King's Pharmacy and King's Flea Market. She was a devoted and loving mother who took pride and interest in her kid's daily lives and wellbeing. Pat was a faithful Christian who talked to the Lord daily. She was a member of Murphy First Baptist Church. Family was Pat's life and her love and care shown through without ceasing.
She was the daughter of the late Grady and Thelma Adams Cochran and wife of the late Edwin King who died December 3, 2024. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Bray.
Surviving are her daughter, Elaine Hatcher and husband, David of Murphy, North Carolina; a son, Eddie King of Murphy, North Carolina; three sisters, Stella Coggins and husband, David of Winterville, Georgia, Betty Grantham of McDonough, Georgia and Loreen Barela and husband, Danny of Stockbridge, Georgia; one brother, Bobby Cochran of Ellenwood, Georgia; and loving caregiver and bonus daughter, Toni Ledford; also survived by many nieces; nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
