Patricia Ann LaMay, 79, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2025. She was born May 19th, 1946, in Syracuse, New York, to the late Burton and Mary Elizabeth Schmidt.
Patricia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family. A woman of many talents, Patricia was an avid sewer and enjoyed working with ceramics, painting, and making beautiful birthday cakes for all of her grandchildren. Patricia took great pride in her work as a nurse’s aide, caring for many people within the Syracuse community in their homes prior to her retirement.
She is predeceased in death by her daughter, Trudie LaMay, and granddaughter, Rebecca LaMay.
She is survived by her loving children: Eugene LaMay, Roberta Catalano, and Heather Schirtz; her cherished grandchildren: Cory, Taylor, Ericka, Alyssa, Riley, Michael, and Skyler, along with her treasured great-grandchildren, Aubriella and Amelia.
Patricia is also survived by her brother, Robert Schmidt; her dear aunt Barbara Smith, uncle Claude Graham, three nieces, several great nieces/nephews, and cousins.
