Tammy J. LaMay

MASSENA – Tammy J. LaMay, 59, unexpectedly passed away early Tuesday morning, November 11, 2025 at Massena Hospital.
Tammy was born in Massena on December 3, 1965, the daughter of the late Gilbert Plourde and Diana Gonyea and attended schools in Massena. She first married Scott Henry and was blessed with two children before their marriage ended. She later married Terry LaMay and was blessed with two more children.
Tammy was a homemaker and loving mother who proudly raised her children and grandchildren in a loving home. She enjoyed cooking and had a great love for riding motorcycles.
Tammy is survived by her children, Sara Henry Jeffery and her husband, Kyle of Massena, Scott Henry, Jr. of Massena, Terry LaMay II and his companion, Brandi Smith of Brasher, and Jenny LaMay and her companion, Jaydon LeGrow of Massena; her beloved grandchildren, Chloe and Aaron Thompson, Brooklyn Henry, and Levi LaMay; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jackson.
She was predeceased by her father and stepmother, Gilbert and Mary Plourde; her mother and stepfather, Diana and George Gonyea; a grandson, Aiden J. Henry on December 1, 2015; her sister, Nancy Fetterly in 2024; and her brother, Thomas Plourde in 2006.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however at her request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to the Massena Humane Society.
