MASSENA – Mary D. LaBrake, 92, formerly a resident of Jefferson Ave, Massena, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her home in Baldwinsville, where she was living with her daughter, Cheryl.
Mary was born on July 31, 1933 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Kenneth S. and Charlotte M. (Stevens) Morgan. She attended schools in Potsdam, graduating from Potsdam High School in 1951. On July 12, 1955, she married William R. LaBrake at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with Msgr. Francis McGuire, officiating. William predeceased her on December 15, 1996.
Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, and a good game of cards with any of her family and friends. While living in Massena, she was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her children, William R. (Stacey) LaBrake, Jr. of Cicero, Cheryl A. LaBrake of Baldwinsville, and Susan K. LaBrake (John Haas) of East Syracuse; her grandchildren, Shannon LaBrake (Michael Clayton), William J. (Mary) LaBrake, Eric (Judith) LaBrake, Ryan (Carrie) LaBrake, Thomas Corey Beacham, Justin LaBrake (Ashley Cox), Gabrielle (John) Morey, and Stefani Fiacchi; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn M. LaBrake on January 10, 1996; and her brothers, Kenneth and Keith Morgan.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, 4 Cedar Street, Potsdam, where friends may call Friday 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM, when a service will be held. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Massena Rescue Squad or the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.
