Patricia Ann McCarthy, 76, of Lee’s Summit, passed away December 31, 2025.
Patricia was born on October 15, 1949, in Oklahoma. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and later a master’s degree in theology. Patricia was a registered nurse for many years, retiring from Shawnee Mission Medical Center (now Advent Health) in Merriam. She was also a missionary, traveling to locations such as Mexico and Africa to spread the message of Christianity. She was a longtime member of Lenexa Christian Center.
Patricia loved traveling, walking, gardening, shopping, and going to restaurants. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Johns. She is survived by her three children: Nicole McCarthy, Wah McCarthy, and Danielle Mitchell; a grandson, Brandon Mitchell; a sister, Charline, Rainey; and her former husband, Ray Reed.
A private burial will be held at Longview Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
