Patricia Ann McDaniel

Patricia Ann "Pat" McDaniel Beloved "Mawmaw" of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayden and Ann Nelson; her husband, John R. McDaniel; and her granddaughter, Anna Katherine McDaniel. She is survived by her son, Steve McDaniel; granddaughters, Sarah (Jordan) Hofeditz of Garland, TX, and Erin McDaniel of Decatur, GA; and her twin great grandsons, Connor and Caleb Hofeditz. She is also survived by her sister, Lynn Olney of Melbourne, FL; her brother, Richard Nelson of Texas; extended family including Sharron McDaniel and Lucy (Sophia & Sylvia) Grady; and her beloved cat, Lucy. Known lovingly as "Mawmaw" to her grandchildren, Pat was a Licensed Master Barber and owned Pat's Barber Shop for over 40 years. She later managed CosmoProf Beauty Supply until her retirement. Pat loved life. She loved to travel, loved her family, her church, and above all, her Savior Jesus Christ. Her strong and unwavering faith touched many lives. She loved to sing-whether that be at church, with the Georgia Mountain Music Group, or Mondays at the senior center singing gospel karaoke. She made friends at all of her favorite lunch spots each week. Pat never met a stranger and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed, but she is now in the company of her granddaughter Anna Katherine, singing and praising together.
