Patricia Kay "Pat" Meijer

Patricia "Pat" Chapple Meijer, 71 of Claycomo, Mo, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2023. She was born November 4, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Don Chapple and Charlene Chapple. Pat spent many years pursuing a passion for beauty. She was known for her abilities to cut and style hair. Pat went on to begin a career at Hallmark for a duration of thirteen years. During her time there she established many meaningful relationships with close friends. Pat retired from Hallmark in 2012. She then followed her love for flowers, working as a florist with Tanan Floral for several years. Pat worked as a cashier at Westlake Ace Hardware for the last five years. She made friends everywhere she went.
Pat loved her family and always offered a welcoming environment to everyone around her. She created a closeness between her family that is incomparable to any other. Pat enjoyed family activities and spending time with close friends. She loved being outside in her yard, enjoying the flowers, trees, and fresh air. Many times, she would spend free time reading a book on her patio. Her church held a special place in her heart, she participated in many church related activities. Pat loved a challenging jigsaw puzzle and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play. During football season, she was sure to wear her Chiefs attire for Red Friday and she never missed a game.
In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her brother, Gary Chapple and granddaughter, Abbigail Arnold. While our hearts are broken, she is at peace in Heaven. Pat is survived by her 2 daughters, Stephanie Marshall Linder, and Kerry Marshall Arnold (Dwaine). Her 3 grandchildren Shelby Linder, Haley Linder (Dustin) and McKayla Arnold; 1 great granddaughter, Elaina Street, along with her sister, Deb Chapple Oman (Milt). Sister-in-law Holly Marshall (Mona), 3 nieces, Lauren Ketchum (Ryan), Anna Oman, and Amy Bates (Charlie). 1 Nephew, Mark Taylor.
A service of remembrance will be held at Good Shepherd UMC, 9555 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64155 on Monday, April 3, 2023. Visitation will commence at 12:00pm followed by services at 2:00pm. As a special tribute to Pat, the family asks that you wear anything related to the Kansas City Chiefs to the service. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to A Turning Point.
