Patricia Carol Menard, 96, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 7, 1928, to Barton and Caroline Andrews. On June 15, 1946 she was married to Edward Menard in Hiawatha, Kansas. Patricia and Edward made a home in Omaha where they were married over 40 years.
Patricia and Edward were blessed with 6 children who further blessed them with 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She provided a loving, strong matriarchal presence with a tell-it-like-it-is attitude and a great sense of humor. She could always be found sitting in the sun with a Pepsi in one hand and a cigarette in the other. She will greatly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: George; husband: Edward; sons: Mike & Brad; and son-in-law: Larry Burke.
She is survived by sisters: Rose Eckert & Janis Jack; many nieces & nephews; children: Tim (Diane) Menard, Cheryl Burke, Ed (Angie) Menard, and Bryan (Lynda) Menard; grandchildren: Tim (Melissa) Menard, Laura (Mark) Mefford, Trisha Menard, Dustin Menard, Justine Menard, Brianne Menard, Scott (Jackie) Burke, Brandon (Melissa) Burke, Keith (Michelle) Menard, Todd (Dawn) Menard, Shaina Menard, Josh Menard, Jake Menard, Sam (Kole) Kluver, Jordan Menard, Chandler Menard, Alexis Menard, Cameron (Molly) Menard, Matthew Menard; great-grandchildren: Tucker Focht, Madeline Menard, Sawyer Mefford, Mia Menard, Brandi (Steven) Wimmer, Austin (Sam) Burke, Colby Burke, Dalton Burke, Sydney Burke, Michael Menard, Kayleigh Menard, Michaela Menard, Juliette Menard, Tristian Menard, Paxton Menard, Eli Menard, Tennysen Kluver, Theroux Kluver; great-great-grandchildren: Rilynn Wimmer, Camdyn Wimmer, Luke Burke, Jax Burke, Marshall Burke.
A Visitation will be held Friday (7/19/2024) from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Roeder Mortuary - 108th Street Chapel; The Funeral Service will be Friday (7/19/2024) 11:00 AM at Roeder Mortuary – 108th Street Chapel 2727 N. 108th St. Omaha, Nebraska 68164. Afterwards, there will be a burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
