Patricia Mitchell wasborn March 13, 1944 in Cleveland Ohio. The first born of 7 children born to the late William Ray Mitchell Sr., and Hortense Vera (Hayden) Mitchell. Patricia accepted Christ as her savior at the early age of 16 where she attended the Reverend Stiles church. Patricia and her siblings were baptized at her church by the late Mahalia Jackson. She was a lead singer in that world renown choir. Patricia peacefully departed this life with her loving family surrounding her singing, and giving God praise for her life well lived. Patricia attended East High High school where she was gaining recognition for her artistic drawing skills. Unfortunately she was forced to leave her junior year of high school, because she was with child. Patricia had a love and skill for cooking and baking everything from scratch especially her signature peach cobbler and yeast rolls. Patricia was a prayer warrior she prayed for, clothed, and fed every man, woman, boy, and girl that came to her front door. On each holiday she cooked for an entire week and she would invite family, friends, and neighbors over for a feast. She then would go out into the street and feed the homeless in our neighborhood. She ministered to the children took them to church and taught them the Lord's prayer and The Ten Commandments. After she drugged them to church, she would invite them to eat Sunday dinner with her.
She leaves to cherish in her memory 6 children, Tonya Lela Mitchell, Bonita Lanice Mitchell, Lance (Salada) Mitchell, Jewel Jahaura Mitchell, Teresa Tracy Mitchell, Richard (Denice) E Greene Jr. Grandchildren Anthony, Angelo, and Aaron (Reaves), Antonio, Tiffany (Mitchell), Patricia, Robert, and Allen (Berry), Lataura, Lamia (Mitchell), Dominique Scott, Stan, Shamea (Williams), Sloan, Seville (Mitchell), Alexis, Trent (Greene), Aleria Hunter, and 1 great grandchild Lorenzo Lamar Brewer. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
