Patricia "Pat" Jean DiSabato Moritz passed the test and earned her degree in life on October 16th, 2025 to go on to her eternal rest.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome V. Moritz; parents, John and Elizabeth DiSabato; grandson, Ero Michael Moritz; brother, John S. DiSabato. Surviving are sons, Mark (Amy) Moritz, Michael Moritz; granddaughter, Olivia Moritz and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was born on March 11, 1937 in Akron and lived on North Hill for most of her life, which she cherished, moving to Brimfield Ohio in 2003. Pat graduated from North High School in 1955 where she was head majorette. After graduation Pat became employed at Goodyear Tire in the Financial Division, then as secretary to the Director of Personnel in Goodyear International Corporation until she moved on to the position of mother and homemaker in 1970 to raise her family. During this time Pat served as secretary at St Martha’s School in Akron until 1982 when she returned to Goodyear Tire as secretary in various capacities in the Tire Division and Retail Stores. Pat retired in 1998. In 2007 Pat joined the volunteer staff at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, now University Hospitals Portage Medical Center, and the hospital auxiliary where she served on the Board until retirement. Pat treasured her family, never missing their many sports activities, and her fur babies. She loved all the many camping trips and traveling in the family’s motor home, her many skiing vacations throughout the West and in Europe, and gardening. She was fortunate to travel extensively throughout the US, Europe, and South America with her loving husband. Pat was regarded as a beautiful woman by all and was an avid runner who ran many marathons, a fitness and health food advocate well before considered being fashionable, and an original participant in the earliest forms of aerobics. The family would like to extend our greatest thanks to the excellent care provided by Western Reserve Hospital of Cuyahoga Falls, Hospice of the Western Reserve and all of its wonderful staff, and to Cornerstone Caregiving for their excellent in-home care. She will be greatly missed by all that new and loved her.
