Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and CrematoryRoger Frederick, 83, of Ravenna, Ohio, entered his eternal rest and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Roger was born on August 20, 1942, in Warren, Ohio, to Wilbert and Evelyn Frederick. He grew up in Stow and graduated from Stow High School. Roger dedicated over 40 years of faithful service to General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. His strong work ethic, quiet strength, and kind heart were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Above all else, Roger was a man of faith and family. He lived his life with humility, integrity, and devotion to God. He loved deeply, gave freely, and faced life’s challenges with steadfast faith. His greatest joy came from time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly. Roger’s legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Phillip Frederick.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Jenette (Reynolds) Frederick; his children, John (Sue), Eric (Jessica), Stephanie, Leon, Frankie, and Kristen; his grandchildren, Jacque Gardiner, Dakota Cresong, and Landon Cresong; his great-grandchildren, Nickolas Cross and Nadene Gardiner; and his great-great-granddaughter, Nora Gardiner.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Open Door Assembly of God, 745 Upson Street, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to rejoice in the assurance that Roger is now at peace in his heavenly home—where there is no more pain or sorrow, only the everlasting joy of God’s presence.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant…
Enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
— Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
