Ruth Ann Leslie, age 88, of Thompson, OH, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at her home.
Ruth was born August 27, 1937 in East Liverpool, OH to the late Oliver and Helen (Lang) Johnson.
After Ruth got her nursing degree, she worked on the Nero floor at University Hospital in Cleveland. She moved her career to Home Care for Lake County.
Moving forward she worked at Glenbeigh Hospital and Outpatient Center where she achieved the position of Director of Nursing (DON) that she fulfilled to her retirement. She continued to touch lives as a home health nurse. She loved to garden and became a Master Gardener. Putting that experience to work with the Thompson Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by Brother Tom (Dorinda) Pike; Children, Jon Michael Leslie Beth Atwell; Grandchildren, Ryan Leslie, Katie (Jake) Hoium, Charlie Leslie, Shannon and Cory Hibbard, Luke and Kristen Bauch; Great-grandchildren, Lexi and Carson Atwell, Peyton and Zoey Leslie, Jay, Jacob, Mackenzie, and Kylie Hibbard, Maverick Bauch; many nieces, nephews and great nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Leslie Jr., Parents Oliver and Helen (Lang) Johnson; sisters, Pat Elsasser, Jan Wallace
Sister-in-law, Mary Ann Zalewski; brother-in-law, Terry, John Paul, and Phil Leslie; grandson Aaron Atwell; daughter in law, Julie Bauch.
