Patricia Sylvia Shirley Oresteen, 66, of Phenix City, AL died at Piedmont Midtown, Columbus, GA on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Gerald Corbin officiating, Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Oresteen was born December 11, 1957, in Wiesbaden, Germany daughter of the late Berthold and Janette Shirley. She was an active member of Friendship Pentecostal Church where she enjoyed worshiping with family and friends. Mrs. Oresteen had worked for several years as a civilian employee with the Georgia National Guard in Columbus, GA, where she helped families of deployed soldiers.
We will remember her as a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She treated everyone equally no matter who they were. Patricia was very diplomatic in her interaction with others; however children were drawn to her sweet personality. She had a gentle way with the little ones. We will miss her in our daily routine, but she is now safe in Heaven with her Savior Jesus.
Survivors include her husband, Francis “Frank” Oresteen, Phenix City, AL; one son, Jeremy Benjamin Johnson; two sisters, Jeanette Wright and Deborah “Debbie” Kuykendall; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
