Patricia “Pat” Smith, age 65, of Forest City, passed away at Fair Haven of Forest City on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Pat was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1959, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Thomas Franklin Givens Sr., and Elizabeth Ann Manning Givens. A member of the Baptist Faith, she was a retired cook from Carolina Café. Pat was a proud cancer survivor, an all-around amazing person, and had a distinct ability to light up any room she entered. She loved to spoil her nieces and nephews and served as a second mother to her siblings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Franklin Givens Jr.; her nephew, David Coggins Jr.; and her niece, Nikki Patterson.

Survivors include her fur-baby, Brandy; her sisters, Linda Givens Bradley, of Forest City, Ann Givens, of Forest City, and Karen Givens Hill (Bryan), of Forest City; half-sister, Donna Southers (Alan), of Nebraska; her special friend, Wayne Davis, of Polkville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, January 17th in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Dr. Keith Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
