Pat Pruett, age 73 of Flat, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Minister H.K. Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services.
Patricia Cliver Pruett was born June 5, 1952 to the late Walter and Pauline Sanders Thompson in Chillicothe, Texas. She grew up in Wilmer, Texas and graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1970. She married William Pruett and together they shared 20 wonderful years together until his passing in 2019. For much of her life, Pat was a devoted homemaker. She also served as a foster parent for many years. In 2010 she began a new chapter with Dollar General, working her way up to a management position, and eventually leading the Gatesville store and later the store in Flat. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, but more than anything, she loved and cherished time spent with her son, Robbie.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William Pruett. She is survived by her son, Robbie Cliver; step children, J.R. Pruett, Lyle Pruett, and Meredith Cockburn; sisters, Glenda Quintana and husband, Tony, Kaye Sandifer and husband, Richard, Caren Chapman and husband, Jim, and Kathleen Lackey and husband, Bill; brother, Walter Thompson and wife, Amy; nephew, Jimmy Argabright and wife, Patsy; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
