Patricia Rabb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations - La Grange on Oct. 23, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Patricia Ann Rudloff Rabb passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 5, 1948, to Clarence and Bernice Rudloff Nobra. She grew up in Houston, but always loved and looked forward to her time at the farm in Shelby with her grandparents. She especially cherished time spent with her grandmother, Edna Rudloff, to whom she attributed much of her grit and determination.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Shelby, where she was a lifetime member. She graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in 1967 and later graduated from Prairie View A&M with a Bachelors of Art in 1996.
She married Ronnie Ellisor in 1969 and gave birth to her first child Stephanie in 1971. In 1978 she married Thomas Rabb, and later gave birth to Rebecca, Michelle, and Stephen. Patsy and Tom recently celebrated 47 years of marriage.
Patsy dedicated the majority of her years to raising her children, supporting her community, and running the farm. She began a career in education later in life, spending many valued years teaching English and German at Sealy and Columbus High Schools. She was also a dedicated volunteer with organizations throughout the community, particularly Meals on Wheels, the WELCA, St. Paul's Lutheran Church Shelby, the MS 150, Industry Water Board, and numerous others. Animals always held a special place in her heart, especially her horses and the four Irish Setters that were always a part of the family, particularly Allie in her later years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Rudloff and Bernice Rudloff Nobra, her stepfather Edward Nobra, and granddaughter Jessica Haverlah. She is survived by her husband Thomas Rabb, her brothers Dale Rudloff and Jay Nobra and his wife Jennifer; sister in law Brenda and husband Richard Mize, brothers in law Steve Rabb and wife Dorothy and Greg Rabb and wife Susan; daughter Stephanie and husband Rudy Engstrom, daughter Rebecca and husband Shawn Wooten, daughter Michelle and Clint Etzel, and son Stephen and wife Tiffany; her grandchildren Dylan and Mindy Haverlah, Kaitlin and Nathan Dannar, Danielle Engstrom, Weston Haverlah, Lillie Wooten, Olivia and Remy Etzel, and Timothy and Grady Rabb; and her great grandchildren, Brailee, Brantley, and Brent Haverlah, Daisy and Ellowyn Dannar; Canon, Colt, Chaya and Lad Janes; niece and nephew Bailey and Jackson Nobra, as well as many other cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, students, and friends.
Special thanks to the loving caregivers over the past years: Eboni Humes, Erika Pean, Dorothy Robinson, Barbra Clay, Patsy Eckermann, and Jennifer Jacob as well as the staff of Brazos Valley Hospice.
Patsy lived her life as a constant force to be reckoned with and will be forever remembered for her unbelievable skill and creativity, her unwavering determination, her immeasurable generosity and as someone who never met a stranger or turned away a hand in need.
In lieu of flowers we invite you to donate to Meals on Wheels, care of HOA of Austin County, 915 Frydek Road, Sealy, TX 77474 or to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org), and to live your life with the same creativity, determination, and compassion that were the hallmarks of hers.
