Patricia "Patsy" Ragone
January 6, 1965 – April 10, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Patricia "Patsy" Ragone on April 10th, 2025, at the age of 60. Patsy passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, and is now reunited with the love of her life, Mike Ragone.
Born on January 6th, 1965, Patsy lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and boundless love. She had a soul that radiated warmth and kindness-a rare light that made others feel seen, heard, and loved. Her selflessness knew no limits. Whether it was family, a friend, a student, or a stranger in need, Patsy always showed up. She gave without ever expecting anything in return, always putting others before herself with grace and humility.
She was the true embodiment of love in action-gentle, patient, and endlessly giving. Her presence had a calming effect, and her ability to make others feel safe and valued was one of her greatest gifts.
Patsy was a devoted and loving mother to her two sons, Dylan and Brandon, who were the center of her universe. She raised them with unconditional love, quiet strength, and unwavering support. Through them, her beautiful spirit lives on.
She also found deep fulfillment in her career as a Special Education Paraprofessional at North Hall Middle School-a role she considered a true calling. She poured her heart into her work, treating each child with the dignity, respect, and encouragement they deserved. She believed deeply in her students and made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Before entering education, Patsy graduated from North Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia, and earned her Associate's Degree from Gainesville State College. She later trained as both a Dental Assistant and a Dental Hygienist-professions that allowed her to care for others in the way she did best. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Mike Ragone, beginning a lifelong love story rooted in mutual care, loyalty, and deep connection.
In the final years of her life, Patsy faced a series of health battles with the same quiet strength and unwavering courage that defined her. After years of lovingly and selflessly caring for her beloved husband during his illness, the emotional and physical weight of that sacrifice began to take a toll on her own health. The deep stress she endured out of love and devotion led to the development of Autoimmune Hepatitis, a condition that gradually progressed over time. She was later diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma, which required a high-risk, life-saving surgery. In true Patsy fashion, she faced it with bravery and survived the operation-an incredible testament to her resilience and her will to keep going for the ones she loved. But despite her strength, the complications that followed placed too much strain on her already fragile liver. After a lifetime of giving so much of herself to others, her body simply reached its limit.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents Robert R.C. (Mac) McCracken and Frances Davis McCracken, and her Husband Michael Vincent Ragone. Patsy is survived by her beloved sons, Dylan and Brandon Ragone, her Sister and Brother-In-Law Marcia and Aaron Pirkle, her Niece Shaina Pirkle Cleveland and her Husband Daniel Cleveland, her Nephew David Pirkle and his Wife Dana Pirkle, and many family members and dear friends who will forever carry her spirit with them. She is now at peace, reunited with her soulmate, Mike, whose love and memory she carried in her heart every single day.
To know Patsy was to know genuine goodness. Her love, her laughter, her selfless heart-those are the gifts she gave so freely, and they will never be forgotten.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Jessica Satterfield, Jennifer "Gigi" Haynes, and the entire North Hall Middle School family for their unwavering love and support.
They also wish to recognize the special friends who meant so much to Patsy and stood by her through every season of life; The Brooks Family, The Booth Family, The Lawson Family, The Moose Family, The Weidner Family, The Grabau Family, The Fitzgibbons Family, The Reynolds Family, Amy Davis, Thomas Alexzulian and many others. Funeral Services for Patsy Ragone are as follows. The family will receive friends Tuesday April, 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. At Memorial Park Funeral Home. Internment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

It's been 100 days and I miss you greatly. I am very sad because you are gone. I only got to spend about 2 years with you but I would trade anything for another day. Thank you for teaching me how to be loved and cared for by another person. You are the best and I love you dearly.
