Paul A. Ragone, 87, of Chews Landing, NJ, passed away after a brief illness on August 14, 2025. He was born in Camden, NJ, to the late Anthony and Mildred Mae Ragone. Paul was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who found his greatest joy in life's simple pleasures, above all Sunday dinners with his family.

A proud patriot, Paul served his country with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, assigned to Company B, 94th Engineer Battalion (Construction) in Toul, France. Following his military service, he dedicated over 30 years to the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as a skilled machinist and mechanical systems inspector.

He was happiest in his garage, spending countless hours meticulously restoring a fleet of boats and cars, most famously his award-winning 1956 Corvette. His lifelong passion for anything with an engine was matched only by his love for the water, especially his time spent crabbing.

He is survived by his daughters, June Ann Ragone and Linda Mae Ragone; his son-in-law, William Dunbar; and his cherished granddaughter, Caitlin Dunbar (Eric Deitz). Paul also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Jean Ragone; his sister, Andrea Ragone; and his dear niece and nephew, Nicole and Tony Ragone.

A private viewing and burial was held for the family. A memorial Catholic Mass will be announced at a later date.
