With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Patricia Resnick, a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, who left us peacefully surrounded by family.
Patricia was the heart of her family and a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was married to her loving husband, John Resnick, and together they built a life grounded in compassion, laughter, and unwavering support.
Patricia was a proud and dedicated school nurse, known and loved by generations of students, parents, and staff. She would listen to people that were her patients, or a stranger working a checkout station for hours, because she believed in patience and empathy for everyone. Her gentle presence and kind heart brought comfort and care to countless children, many of whom still remember her soothing words and comfort.
She is survived by her children, John (Rachel), Stephanie (Kevin), and Lauren who will forever carry her grace and strength within them. Patricia was the doting grandmother to Lily, Molly, Brendon, Vivian, and Savannah, who brought her endless joy and pride. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Frances Mather, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and love.
Patricia had a deep affection for her dogs, Arabella and Kobe, who were her constant companions. She cherished time spent with friends and family, whether it was over lunch, watching movies - another one of her great loves - or soaking in the peace of the beach and ocean, where she felt most relaxed. She also found joy and meaning in tracing her family's roots, endlessly fascinated by the stories within her family tree. She had a smile that could light up the world, and enjoyed singing and sharing her beautiful voice whenever she could - especially when she sang Carole King on the boardwalk this past spring.
Patricia’s legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and love. She touched the lives of so many through both her work and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle humor will be missed more than words can express.
Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia’s visitation Friday, July 18, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Lung Association ( lung.org ) in honor of Patricia's strong will and determination until the end.
She leaves behind a world better for having her in it.
