Patricia May Riggins

Patricia May (Pensinger) Riggins, 91 years, 6 months and 8 days old, passed peacefully from this life to eternity with her Savior, on October 26, 2025, at Quincy, Illinois. Pat was born April 18, 1934, at home in Fountain Green Township, Hancock County, Illinois, to George Earl and Alice May (Marlow) Pensinger. She was the youngest of five children.
On February 5, 1954, she married Robert Eugene Riggins. He preceded her in death November 12, 2001. Also preceding her were her parents, siblings Eleanor Giffard, Barbara Howe, Eldon Pensinger, Stanley "Jeb" Pensinger, and their spouses, along with 1 niece, 1 great niece, and 1 great nephew.
Pat is survived by her daughter Mary Melissa "Missy" Phillips and son-in-law Kim Phillips (Colchester) and grandchildren Bret (Madison) Phillips (Macomb) and Emily (Aaron) VanSickle (Rochester, MN), 1 niece, 3 nephews, 1 great niece, and 7 great nephews.
Pat was a 1952 graduate of Colchester High School. She worked in the offices of King Sealey and later at NTN Bower where she retired after more than 25 years of service. She was a 44-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed golfing, crocheting, knitting, flower gardening, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and most of all, time spent with her family. She will long be remembered for her great sense of humor, positive outlook and beautiful smile.
A private burial will be held in November at Forest Lawn in Macomb, Illinois. Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family.
