Patricia Rigo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors - Utica on Oct. 1, 2025.
Patricia M. (McKelvey) Rigo, 82, formerly of Deerfield, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, with her loving family by her side at her son's home in East Islip, NY.
Born on July 8, 1942, in Utica, Pat was the daughter of James H. and Agnes (Teuscher) McKelvey, Sr.
She was a 1960 graduate of Whitesboro High School.
On July 28, 1962, Pat married the love of her life, Douglas J. Rigo, in Sacred Heart Church. Their Blessed union of 55 Years was a true epitome of the definition of marriage! He preceded her in death on March 12, 2017.
Pat was employed with Dodge Graphic Press as an estimating secretary prior to retirement.
There is no Love Greater than a Mother's Love, and it showed through even during life's precious and challenging moments. Never defined by life's ups and downs, just consistently and forever MOM and Best Friend.
Surviving are Pat's cherished children, Douglas (Laura) Rigo, Jr., East Islip; Barbara (Robert) Goldsmith, Frankfort; beloved grandchildren, Tyler (Devon), Zachary, Justin, Parker, Dylan, Jenna, and Lauren; and sister-in-law, Joanne McKelvey. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jeanette, Betty, Eileen, Robert, and James, and her in-laws, Alicia and Elena.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday, June 13th, from 5-7 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Pat's name may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
